2. Use of the Threat Rating Engine
The Threat Rating Engine analyzes domains, email addresses, and phone numbers submitted by users and generates a safety rating based on available signals (such as domain age, security certificates, and reported scam patterns).
The Threat Rating Engine is informational only and does not constitute a guarantee. A "safe" or low-risk rating does not mean a site, email address, or phone number is guaranteed to be legitimate, and a "high risk" rating does not constitute a definitive legal or factual finding that fraud has occurred. Ratings are generated using automated analysis and available data, which may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You should not rely solely on the Threat Rating Engine when making financial or personal decisions.
3. User-Submitted Reports
When you submit a report through "Report a Scam," you represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We reserve the right to review, moderate, edit, reject, or remove any submission at our sole discretion before or after publication.
Approved reports may be published on the public Active Threats Dashboard. We do not guarantee that any specific submission will be reviewed within a particular timeframe, published, or kept published indefinitely.
You retain no ownership claim over content you submit, and by submitting a report you grant VastOutlet a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, publish, edit, and display that content (excluding personally identifying information, which we strip before publication) in connection with operating the Site.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious reports through "Report a Scam," including reports intended to harass, defame, or harm a legitimate business or individual
- Use the Threat Rating Engine, Active Threats Dashboard, or any other tool on the Site to facilitate fraud, harassment, or any unlawful activity
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Site without our prior written consent, other than standard search engine indexing
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and the underlying Threat Rating Engine methodology, is owned by VastOutlet or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, except for user-submitted report content as described in Section 3. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission, other than for personal, non-commercial use.
6. Third-Party Links and Advertising
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and displays advertisements, including through Google AdSense. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites. Inclusion of a link or advertisement does not imply endorsement.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all tools, content, and information provided on it are offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
